I think that the strongest technical aspect of my work is the clarity of the negative effect from the coffee camera. The progression of clarity makes the subject of the photo stand out. One aspect I feel I can improve on is the negative to positive transition. More work and testing would have brought me to the results I aimed for.
What I thought was easy about this art project was that it was trial and error and there wasn't much of a difference in the amount of light exposure for the coffee camera. Each test strip differed by one second, so it was easy to come up with the right light exposure just by adding or reducing the time. What was actually difficult about this activity was adjusting the camera to aim directly at the subject of the photo. While using the test strip, being so small I needed to make sure the pinhole was aimed in the right direction.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by creating a piece that is visible and clear as to what is in the photo. It isn't very blurry as apposed to some of the other pinhole camera photos I have seen. the lines are crisp and clean. If i was to do this activity again, I would try to capture a photo of something with more values and more lines in the picture.
