I think that the strongest technical aspect of my work is the clarity of the negative effect from the coffee camera. The progression of clarity makes the subject of the photo stand out. One aspect I feel I can improve on is the negative to positive transition. More work and testing would have brought me to the results I aimed for.
What I thought was easy about this art project was that it was trial and error and there wasn't much of a difference in the amount of light exposure for the coffee camera. Each test strip differed by one second, so it was easy to come up with the right light exposure just by adding or reducing the time. What was actually difficult about this activity was adjusting the camera to aim directly at the subject of the photo. While using the test strip, being so small I needed to make sure the pinhole was aimed in the right direction.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by creating a piece that is visible and clear as to what is in the photo. It isn't very blurry as apposed to some of the other pinhole camera photos I have seen. the lines are crisp and clean. If i was to do this activity again, I would try to capture a photo of something with more values and more lines in the picture.

The strongest technical aspect of my work was probably the test strips that I created. I think that because I really took my time with them deciding on the value scale and gradually got to where I wanted with them. One thing that could be improved on is the final contact sheet, I probably could have left the enlarger for 1 second longer to get the full value of white to black with many gray values.
What was easy about this project was that is was very independent and I had a lot of say in how to adjust my own image. what was difficult was knowing just what to adjust between the f-stop, the light filter and the time exposure. if you didn't follow the process start to finish, it was hard to pick up where I left off.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by having a final product showing the process of my progress on how I arrived there. I used all of the correct tools and the finished product was a success to me. If I could do this activity again, I would use my prior knowledge of the use of the enlarger, f-stops, filters and developing skills to come to my outcome easier and more efficiently rather than a trial and error like I did on my first attempt.

I believe the strongest technical aspect of my work is in symmetry piece photogram. For this picture, I used F-stop 11 for four seconds. It is the strongest because of the different values of pure white, jet black and shades of grey, bordered with a crisp white edge. If I could have improved on anything with this work it would be adding more values of grey to this work. Although there is grey, it seems very bland and could have more going on.
What I found easy bout this activity was the independence we had on it. We were able to come up with our own pieces of art, and learn on our own almost by using test strips to determine the F-stop. However, it is frustratingly difficult to end up with a work such as the image of the car in the second picture. I should have thoroughly tested the page because it was exposed to too much light. This would have been a nicer piece had i put some tissue paper behind the image to make it pop.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by making different values of color on the photo paper. Depending on how I set the enlarger, altered the amounts of light projected to make the image appear. i was able to make white, grey, and black throughout my photos. If I could do this art activity again, I would try a new picture for my magazine photogram, and test the page with a test strip more carefully.

In this photo edit, the strongest technical aspect I could reflect on is using the healing brush to hide the freckles. What I feel can be improved on in my work is making it so that her face didn't look so air-brushed. It was tough getting the right value without making her look so fake or edited.
What I found easy about this project was going through at first, covering up her freckles to be as if she had none. This step was really with the healing brush. What was actually difficult about this activity was making layers for each part of her face, and getting the right shades of color across her face to blend correctly. After getting the colors there, it was a matter of playing with the opacity and fill of the layer to get the shades just right.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by using the healing brush in photo shop, to hide her freckles. then continued to edit her face with the Blur tool that was used to make the values on her face look natural. If i could do this art activity again, i would focus on using the blur tool more affectively to make her face look even more flush and natural then it already is.

I believe the strongest technical aspect of my work is how I desaturated my photo. I really like the focal point I created with the history brush tool in photoshop. I'm not exactly sure what I could improve on, but I know that I could have used a different photo with a larger focal point.
What I thought was easy about this project was the process of desaturating the photo. It only took a few clicks to get there and as long as you know how, it's easy. What challenged me about this activity was pin-pointing the focal point of the photo. It was between the dock and the sailboat, but the sail had more color value and narrowed my decision.
I demonstrated desaturation of a full color photo, by creating a main subject for the viewer to see. At first look its just a typical, lake picture with common scenery. Normally you would look past everything, but by using the art history brush, it made the colors that I wanted in the photo to pop and stand out. If I was to do this activity again, I would start off with a photo that has a larger focal point, and maybe that would make the product a little less boring.

I believe the strongest technical aspect of my work was the simplicity of painting. I didn't use an overkill of paint or colors, but I did change enough where you can't tell if its original or not. I purposely left some things alone to give that authentic look and feel to the work. Although simplicity is nice, I could have improved on the technical aspect of the sky the I revised. It's a little bland and I could have made it look like there were maybe some clouds or even a sunset off to the distance to the right side of the photo. An idea for next time maybe.
What was easy about this activity was that there were very free guidelines to follow. I painted my entire photo without someone telling me what to do every step of the way. it was very independent. At the same time as well, that made it difficult. you need to have creativity if you're going to revise and entire photo to your own standards. Although you can make your own decisions, its the fact of making that decision and making it the right way. If you didn't manipulate the picture the right way it would come out looking bad.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by editing the photo using the paint brush tool and the blenders. Once I put the desired color in, I would edit it by changing the opacity of the color to high or low depending on my preference. After editing layer by layer, I created a whole new image and made it my own. If I could do this again I would take full advantage of blending tool within layers. I would have added more flavor to the sky and maybe added some clouds or birds of some sort.
